Q: We're a new team and don't know what we're supposed to do first?
A: Take a look at "
League Format". That will explain the levels and give you an idea of how the IVL operates. Then go to "How To Sign Up" and then "Application".

Q: We're new and not quite sure of what level we should sign up at?
A: We usually have a night at the start of most seasons where the new teams come down and play some games for fun at no charge. That way, we have a better idea of where to place you. You can also
contact the IVL Office and find out where some of the current leagues are playing and go by and see for yourself in person.

Q: I'm an individual and would like to play. What do I do?
A: Read the "
Individuals" page and then post an ad on our Free Agent Registry. Teams looking for players can find your ad for the next 30 days.

Q: How do we know that the IVL received our application?
A: If you don't receive a reply back within one working day, then
contact the IVL Office.

Q: What are our chances of getting into the IVL?
A: As long as you sign up before the deadline, we almost always have room for everyone. The sooner you sign up, the better the chance of getting the night and location you prefer.

Q: How do you determine who gets into the league?
A: The teams that played the previous season have top priority. New teams are taken in order of signup to fill in the gaps.

Q: What can we do to make sure we get to play?
A: Fill out the
application correctly, sign up early, pay on time. Also be aware that generally the furthest north (Foothill) site generally fills up last. That's a good gym to have as an alternate site if your first choice is somewhere else.

Q: We really prefer to play at Wilcox. How do we get in there?
A: The best chance of getting to play at Wilcox is having played there the previous season. It's a popular site and the returning teams quite often fill the Wilcox leagues up. Get in line by signing up early.
